Toyota calls around 1.5 million vehicles in the garages. Affected models are the Auris and Avensis D-CAT, both from the production from 2007 to 2009, as well as the RAV4 SUV, built in 2005 and 2011. Throughout Germany 76 580 vehicles are being recalled.
The problem is a possibly incorrect fixation of the tie rods to the multi-link rear suspension. This could be two lock nuts with a false torque to be applied - this can result in playing the track and the rear wheels while driving adjusted. In the workshop, the position of the nuts and tie rods is checked (about 30 minutes). When disguised track may have to the tie rods are replaced, the amount of work for approximately two hours.
