High growth rates in the U.S. auto market is increasingly becoming a support for the German car manufacturer. While sold in most Western European countries because of the debt crisis and high unemployment, few new cars, passenger car sales rose in June 2012 in the United States, a surprisingly strong 22 percent. Low interest rates, declining gasoline prices and the high average age of their cars more than ten years, drove the Americans into the sale of houses. In addition to the major U.S. automakers GM and Ford and directed by Fiat-Chrysler U.S. sales, the German manufacturer Volkswagen, Porsche and Daimler cars much more than a year ago. On the plus was evident, however, for the Japanese manufacturer Toyota out for particularly weak prior-year figures.
From the boom in the U.S. market in June, also benefited the German manufacturer. VW went with a sales increase of 34 percent to 38 200 units in June, the biggest increase of the German manufacturer. Europe's market leader is benefiting from the success of the specially tailored to U.S. tastes Passat. Also, the Jetta is selling well. Daughter, Audi increased its unit sales by 26 percent to 12,700 cars. Porsche managed a sales increase of 18 percent to 3,000 vehicles. Daimler brought its core brand of Mercedes-Benz cars at the 25 388 men, an increase of 12.5 percent. With a sales increase of only 3.2 percent remained the Munich rival BMW tail light to grow.
About the best month since September 2008, enjoyed the largest U.S. manufacturers GM. Opel's mother sold in June, 248 800 cars of the brands Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC - or 16 percent over the same period last year. The second largest U.S. manufacturer Ford did well 208 000 cars to customers - this is a relatively modest increase of seven percent. For the beleaguered car maker Fiat is Chrysler's daughter an important balance. Chrysler sales in June increased by 20 percent to 145,000 cars, which is slightly stronger than expected by analysts. Toyota was up but most - 60 percent to just under 188,000 vehicles. However, the previous paragraph as a result of the severe earthquake in Japan was very low. From the records of the period before the 2009 crisis, the mother had the Opel-GM and Chrysler be saved with the help of the U.S. government close to collapse, the U.S. market is still far away. But with an estimated 14.1 million vehicles sold this year could be achieved the best result since 2007. Between 1998 and 2007 were in the U.S. on average each year around 16.7 million vehicles sold.
