Precious classics under the hammer
The fine British auction house Bonhams auctioned this year at the opening of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Chichester / West Sussex exclusive vintage cars and automobilia. This Goodwood is certainly a must event for all those with petrol in their blood.
The renowned British auction house Bonhams invites on Friday 29 June, one of the most exclusive automobile auctions in the world. Over 80 classic look for new owners, almost all are gems, exclusive of automobile history milestones. As every year, most of the "post" as the old-timers called Bonhams sober, above estimates of € 100,000 mark, some will bring millions of dollars. And then there are some rarities, calls for no Bonhams estimated prices. For example, that Bugatti Type 57C Special Coupe from 1938, whose first owner was personally Il Padre: Ettore Bugatti. Or the magnificent Rolls-Royce 40/50hp Double Pullman Limousine "The Corgi" that the 100th Birthday (year 1912) a new home befitting wishes.
The 60-year anniversary of the sports car brand Lotus Bonhams celebrates the special kind: under the hammer every 24 Lotus come from the collection of the Dutchman Olav Glasius.
